AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE RECODIFICATION, EDITING AND INCLUSION OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES AS PARTS OF THE VARIOUS COMPONENT CODES OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF GROVEPORT, OHIO AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, various ordinances of a general and permanent nature have been passed which should be included in the Codified Ordinances of Groveport, Ohio; and,
WHEREAS, numerous sections in the Traffic and General Codes need to be updated or enacted in order to comply with State law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the recodification, editing, arrangement and numbering or renumbering of the following ordinances and parts of ordinances are hereby approved as parts of the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances of Groveport, Ohio, so as to conform to the classification and numbering system of the Codified Ordinances, to-wit:

Section 3: The complete text of the Traffic and General Offenses Code sections listed above are set forth in full in the 2014 Replacement Pages to the Codified Ordinances which are hereby attached to this ordinance as Exhibit A. Any summary publication of this ordinance shall include a complete listing of these sections. Notice of adoption of each new section by reference to its title shall constitute sufficient publication of new matter contained therein.
Section 4: That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof, this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community to the extent that various City agencies will not be able to enforce specific provisions of the Codified Ordinances unless this Ordinance is enacted in a timely manner; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
