AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO SOLICIT BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR THE REPAIR, CONSTRUCTION AND/OR INSTALLATION OF A REPLACEMENT ROOF OVER THE INDOOR POOL AREAS AT THE GROVEPORT RECREATION CENTER AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Council wishes to move forward as soon as possible with above stated project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to solicit bids for the repair, construction and/or installation of a replacement roof over the indoor pool areas at the Groveport Recreation Center and is further authorized to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the completion thereof.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the public as this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner to prevent any potential damage to the indoor pool areas at the Groveport Recreation Center due to the current state of the roof over said locations; Wherefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
