AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO SOLICIT BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR HILLSIDE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE CITY'S GOLF COURSE WITH THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary to solicit bids and enter into a contract for hillside improvements in conjunction with the Links at Groveport Golf Course project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to solicit bids for hillside improvements at the City's golf course and further authorized to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for said improvements.
Section 2: That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that said legislation must be enacted in a timely fashion to assure that the City receives an economically advantageous bid by soliciting bids as soon as possible; Wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
