AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PAY SCALE, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary to add the positions, City Engineer, Aquatics Coordinator and Building Maintenance Technician to the City's current pay scale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the pay scale for the City is hereby amended to include the positions of City Engineer with a pay grade of 23, Aquatics Coordinator with a pay grade of 10 and Building Maintenance Technician with a pay grade of 8.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner in order for the City Engineer, Aquatics Coordinator and Building Maintenance Technician positions to be established and on the pay scale as soon as possible. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
