Title

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ACCEPT THE GRANT OF PARCEL 185-001015, 384 WESTPORT DRIVE, FROM MICHAEL HARRIS AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City of Groveport and its residents if the Administrator accepts the grant of the stated parcel.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to accept the grant of Parcel 185-001015, 384 Westport Drive, from Michael Harris as a land donation by way of a deed.

 

Section 2:  That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner so that the City can, ultimately, receive the parcel, free and clear of any and all liens from the Central Ohio Community Improvement Corporation (COCIC); WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
