Title
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A TRANSFER FROM THE RAINY DAY FUND TO THE RECREATION FUND, CAPITAL ACCOUNT, AND THE GENERAL FUND, LAW - CONTRACTUAL SERVICES
Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Finance Department transfer funds from the Rainy Day Fund to the Recreation Fund, Capital Account, and the General Fund, Law-Contractual Services, for the immediate repair, construction and/or installation of a replacement roof over the indoor pool areas of the Groveport Recreation Center and for legal services related to the recovery of costs associated with the repair of the recreation center roof.

WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code Sections 5705.14 and 5705.16 requires the affirmative vote of two-thirds of its Council members prior to any such transfer by a City's Finance Department.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

Section 1: That the cash transfer of $900,000 is hereby authorized from the Rainy Day Fund (218) to the Recreation Fund, Capital Account (220.17.52440), in order to provide the necessary funds for the immediate repair, construction and/or installation of a replacement roof over the indoor pool areas of the Groveport Recreation Center.

Section 2: That the cash transfer of $100,000 is hereby authorized from the Rainy Day Fund (218) to the General Fund, Law-Contractual Services (101.16.52300), in order to provide funds necessary for legal services related to the recovery of costs associated with the repair of the recreation center roof.

Section 3: That the Director of Finance of the City is hereby directed to transfer funds from the Rainy Day Fund to the Recreation Fund, Capital Account and the General Fund, Law-Contractual Services as authorized above.

Section 4: That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
