Title

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PART THREE - TRAFFIC CODE, TITLE NINE - PEDESTRIANS, BICYCLES AND MOTORCYCLES, CHAPTER 371 - PEDESTRIANS, SECTION 371.06 (B)(2) USE OF HIGHWAY FOR SOLICITING; RIDING ON OUTSIDE OF VEHICLES OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, the City has deemed it necessary to amend the above-referenced section of the Codified Ordinances of Groveport; and,

 

WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the  enforcement of the stated process, it is necessary to amend the above referred Section of the Groveport Codified Ordinances.

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1:                     That Part Three - Traffic Code, Title Nine - Pedestrians, Bicycles and Motorcycles, Chapter 371 -Pedestrians, Section 371.06 (b)(2) Use of Highway for Soliciting; Riding on Outside of Vehicles of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Groveport, is hereby amended in accordance with Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2:                     That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this Ordinance must be enacted in a timely manner so that the City's police department can take immediate enforcement action for violations of this provision; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
