AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF FULL TIME ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR, ACCEPTING THE POSITION DESCRIPTION AND PAY GRADE THEREFORE, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary to create the position of full time Assistant Finance Director in the Finance Department, and establish the pay grade therefore.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That there is hereby created the position of full time Assistant Finance Director in the Finance Department, the position description attached hereto is accepted, and the pay grade for said position shall be Grade 7.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community as this legislation must be enacted in a timely fashion in order to have this position in place and any training completed prior to the reduction in the Department of Finance staff this Fall. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect upon its passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
