AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO PURCHASE A VAC-CON SEWER JETTER FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT UNDER THE OHIO STATE TERM SCHEDULE COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PLAN, THEREBY WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING PURSUANT TO GROVEPORT CITY CHARTER SECTION 9.02(B)
Body
WHEREAS, the City is permitted to purchase items under the above-referred cooperative purchase programs; and
WHEREAS, Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter permits the waiving of competitive bidding where the statutory or common law of Ohio does not require competitive bidding; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING, THAT:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to purchase a Vac-Con Sewer Jetter for the Public Services Department under the Ohio State Term Schedule Cooperative Purchase Plan, thereby waiving competitive bidding pursuant to Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall take force and be in full effect at the earliest time provided by law.
