AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 2021-018 (PASSED 5/10/2021), FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO SELL THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 384 WESTPORT DRIVE IN THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, OHIO PURSUANT TO OHIO REVISED CODE SECTION 721.03 AND THE DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, Council previously passed Ordinance Number 2021-018 authorizing the sale of the above stated property through the Groveport Community Improvement Corporation ("Groveport CIC") pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 1724.10 (B); and,
WHEREAS, It is more economically advantageous to sell said property by the way of competitive bidding pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 721.03: and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously determined that the property located at 384 Westport Drive, land which is currently owned by the City, is no longer required by the City for its purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 721.03, the Administrator is hereby authorized to sell the property located at 384 Westport Drive according to the terms set forth in the Real Estate Purchase Agreement and Deed restrictions.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall be deemed an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community as this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner so that the City can obtain the highest purchase price for said property; Wherefore this legislation shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
