AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH TREMCO / WEATHERPROOFING TECHNOLOGIES, INC AND/OR KALKREUTH ROOFING AND SHEET METAL FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF SECTIONS OF THE ROOF AT THE GROVEPORT MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE UNDER THE OMNIA PARTNERS COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PLAN, THEREBY WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING PURSUANT TO GROVEPORT CITY CHARTER SECTION 9.02(B)

WHEREAS, the City is permitted to purchase goods and services under the Omnia Partners Cooperative Purchase Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of replacing sections of the roof at the Municipal Golf Course from Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal who is an authorized contractor of the Tremco / WTI Inc. under the Omnia Partners Cooperative Purchase Plan; and,
WHEREAS, Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter permits the waiving of competitive bidding where the statutory or common law of Ohio does not require competitive bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING, THAT:
Section 1: That the Administrator is authorized to enter into contract with Tremco / Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc and/or Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal under the Omnia Partners Cooperative Purchase Plan, thereby waiving competitive bidding pursuant to Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall take force and be in full effect at the earliest time provided by law.
