AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF SENIOR SERVICES MANAGER, ACCEPTING THE POSITION DESCRIPTION AND ESTABLISHING THE PAY GRADE, FURTHERMORE, REMOVING THE POSITION OF TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR IN THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT AND SENIOR CITIZENS COORDINATOR IN THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT AND ADDING THE POSITION OF SENIOR SERVICES MANAGER TO THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary to create the position of Senior Services Manager in the Transportation Department; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to remove the position of Transportation Coordinator in the Transportation Department and the Senior Citizens Coordinator in the Recreation Department and add the position of Senior Services Manager to the Transportation Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That there is hereby created the position of Senior Services Manager, the position description attached hereto is accepted, and the pay grade for said position shall be Grade 12.
Section 2: That the current Transportation Coordinator position is hereby removed from the Transportation Department and the position of Senior Citizens Coordinator is hereby removed from the Recreation Department and the Senior Services Manager is added to the Transportation Department, effective 12-24-2020.
Section 3: That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation be enacted in a timely fashion as the stated position must be in place to provide services to the City's senior citizens when the Senior Center re-opens and programs become available again after closure/suspension due to the pandemic; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
