AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THE GARLAND GROUP FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF EXTERIOR WALL PANELS AT THE RECREATION CENTER UNDER THE OMNIA COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PLAN, THEREBY WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING PURSUANT TO GROVEPORT CITY CHARTER SECTION 9.02(B)

WHEREAS, the City is permitted to purchase goods and services under the Omnia Cooperative Purchase Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of replacing the exterior wall panels at the Groveport Recreation Center from The Garland Group, a participating vendor of the Omnia Cooperative Purchase Plan; and,
WHEREAS, Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter permits the waiving of competitive bidding where the statutory or common law of Ohio does not require competitive bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is authorized to enter into contract with The Garland Group under the Omnia Cooperative Purchasing Plan, thereby waiving competitive bidding pursuant to Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall take force and be in full effect at the earliest time provided by law.
