AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ACCEPT A UTILITY EASEMENT FROM CHARLES AND MILDRED MCCLAY AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Groveport needs a suitable location for the pressure reducing valve for the new water plant.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

Section 1:  That the Administrator is hereby authorized to accept a utility easement from Charles and Mildred McClay.

Section 2:  That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community as this legislation must be passed in a timely fashion for the City to have immediate access to the utility easement area for the above-stated purposes; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
