AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ADD THE POSITION OF CITY ENGINEER IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
Body
WHEREAS, it has been determined that an increase in authorized staffing level for the Engineering Department is appropriate; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.01 (A)(4) of the Groveport City Charter, Council can establish or authorize the number of employees in the various offices, departments, divisions, bureaus, boards, and commissions of the Municipality; and,
WHEREAS, due to the addition of the stated position, it will be necessary to increase the authorized strength for the Engineering Department by adding the position of City Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That there is hereby added the position of City Engineer in the Engineering Department.
Section 2: That the authorized strength of staff for the Engineering Department shall be increased to three (3).
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
