AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF PARKS AND FACILITIES SUPERINTENDENT, ACCEPTING THE POSITION DESCRIPTION AND ESTABLISHING THE PAY GRADE, IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary to create the position of Parks & Facilities Superintendent in the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to accept the position description and establish the position pay grade.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That there is hereby created the position of Parks & Facilities Superintendent, the position description attached hereto is accepted, and the pay grade for said position shall be Grade 17.
Section 2: That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation be enacted in a timely fashion as the stated position must be in place as soon as possible due to the abolishment of the Parks & Facilities Management Director position; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
