AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 14-023, (PASSED JUNE, 23, 2014) AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF 9.6 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, PARCEL NUMBERS 180-001052, 180-001048, AND 180-003042, LOCATED IN MADISON TOWNSHIP UPON ANNEXATION OF SAID TRACT TO THE CITY OF GROVEPORT (JACKSON B. REYNOLDS, III, AGENT FOR PETITIONERS)

WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, unanimously approved the application of Jackson B. Reynolds, III, Agent, for annexation of 9.6 more or less, acres, located on Parcel Numbers 180-001052, 180-001048, and 180-003042 in Madison Township upon annexation of said tract to the City of Groveport; and,
WHEREAS, due to inadvertence, Ordinance No. 14-023 was enacted earlier that what is prescribed in O.R.C. Section 709.04; and,
WHEREAS, based on the foregoing, it is now necessary to repeal Ordinance. No. 14-023 and enact new Ordinance No. 14-030 accepting the stated annexation; and,
WHEREAS, said annexation would be beneficial to the citizens of the City of Groveport, Ohio.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 14-023 is hereby repealed for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto.
Section 2: That the Petition of Jackson B. Reynolds, III, Agent, for annexation of 9.6 acres, more or less, Parcel Numbers 180-001052, 180-001048, and 180-003042, located in Madison Township to the City of Groveport, be approved.
Section 3: That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
