AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2020-022 (ADOPTED 4/13/2020), AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH GROVEPORT MADISON SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROVIDE A SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, after discussions with the School District's legal counsel it is necessary to amend the School Resource Officer Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and/or agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 2020-022 (adopted 4/13/2020), be amended in accordance with Exhibit “A”, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2: That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely fashion to assure the School Resource Officer is in place for the upcoming school year; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
