Title

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ADD THREE SEASONAL POSITIONS IN THE PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Body

WHEREAS, it has been determined that an increase in authorized staffing level for the Public Services Department is appropriate; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.01 (A)(4) of the Groveport City Charter, Council can establish or authorize the number of employees in the various offices, departments, divisions, bureaus, boards, and commissions of the Municipality; and,

 

WHEREAS, due to the addition of the stated positions, it will be necessary to increase the authorized strength for the Public Services Department by adding three (3) seasonal positions - one (1) in Parks and two (2) in Streets, thereby increasing the Department's strength of staff to twenty eight (28).

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1 That three (3) seasonal positions are hereby added to the Public Services Department.

 

Section 2:  That the authorized strength of staff for the Public Services Department shall be increased to twenty eight (28).

 

Section 3:  That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
