AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO A LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH MARONDA HOMES AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Maronda Homes is desirous of installing cluster mailboxes in a portion of the City's right-of-way in the Hickory Grove subdivision on Shagbark Place due to new policies for mail delivery promulgated by the U.S. Postal Service; and,
WHEREAS, the City has no objection to the installation of said cluster mailboxes provided a licensing agreement is executed by Maronda Homes setting forth its responsibilities and obligations in this limited use of the City's right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into a licensing agreement with Maronda Homes to allow the installation of cluster mailboxes in the City's right-of-way in the Hickory Grove subdivision on Shagbark Place as set forth and/or depicted in said agreement.
Section 2: That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely fashion to insure compliance with current U.S. Postal Service regulations as soon as possible; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
