AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING 21.599 ACRES OWNED BY THE CITY ON HAYES ROAD AS PARK SPACE PURSUANT TO O.R.C SECTION 755.12 AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate the above referred acreage as park space pursuant to O.R.C. Section 755.12.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the 21.599 acres owned by the City of Groveport on Hayes Road is hereby designated as park space pursuant to O.R.C. Section 755.12.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community as said legislation must be enacted in order for the City to meet the County deadline with respect to the designation of this tract for tax purposes; WHEREFORE, this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
