Title

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF GROVEPORT - PART THREE - TRAFFIC CODE, TITLE FIVE - VEHICLES, CHAPTER 333 OVI; WILLFUL MISCONDUCT; SPEED, SECTION 333.11 ELECTRONIC WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE USE PROHIBITED WHILE DRIVING

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed it necessary to amend the above-referenced traffic code.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1:  That Part Three - Traffic Code, Title Five - Vehicles, Chapter 333 OVI; Willful Misconduct; Speed, Section 333.11, Electronic Wireless Communication Device Use Prohibited While Driving of the Codified Ordinances of Groveport is hereby amended, according to the attached Exhibit A which is made a part hereof.

 

Section 2That this Ordinance shall be deemed an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community as this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner so that the Groveport Police Department can take immediate enforcement action with respect to the stated section of the City of Groveport Traffic Code.
