AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO PURCHASE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE UNDER THE OMNIA PARTNERS GROUP COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PLAN THROUGH INSIGHT PUBLIC SECTOR THEREBY WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING PURSUANT TO GROVEPORT CITY CHARTER SECTION 9.02(B)

WHEREAS, the City of Groveport is permitted to purchase items under the Omnia Partners Group Cooperative Purchase Plan through Insight Public Sector; and
WHEREAS, Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter permits the waiving of competitive bidding where the statutory or common law of Ohio does not require competitive bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to purchase Information Technology hardware and software in accordance with the Omnia Partners Group Cooperative Purchase Plan through Insight Public Sector, thereby waiving competitive bidding pursuant to Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter.
Section 2: That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
