AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO SOLICIT BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE SITE IMPROVEMENTS AND ALL NECESSARY APPURTENANCES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE GROVEPORT TOWN CENTER PROJECT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Council wishes to move forward with the Groveport Town Center Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to solicit bids for the construction of the site improvements and all necessary appurtenances in conjunction with the Groveport Town Center and is further authorized to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the construction thereof.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community as this legislation must be enacted in a timely fashion so that the Groveport Town Center Project can move forward as soon as possible.
