AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN ANNUAL DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000.00 TO MOTTS MILITARY MUSEUM, A PRIVATE NON PROFIT CORPORATION, FOR A PERIOD NOT TO EXCEED FIVE YEARS, APPROPRIATING SAID SUM FROM THE GENERAL FUND IN LEGISLATIVE 101.10.52401, COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANTS, TO FINANCE THE DONATION

WHEREAS, the Council for the City of Groveport desires to make an annual donation to Motts Military Museum in the amount of $25,000.00 for a period not to exceed five years, in order to ensure the expansion of and continued operation of the museum thereby preserving the Museum's significant historical and cultural contributions to the citizens of the City of Groveport;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That an annual donation shall be made each year beginning in January 2022 in the amount of $25,000.00 to Motts Military Museum for a period not to exceed five years provided that the Museum is in operation in the corporate limits of the City of Groveport during said annual periods and contingent upon the continued purchase of property and/or the expansion of the facility.
Section 2: That the annual sum of $25,000.00 shall be appropriated from the General Fund in Legislative 101.10.52401, Community Service Grants, to finance the donation.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and at the earliest time provided by law.
