AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT GRANTS FROM STATE AND FEDERAL RESOURCES FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, VIDEO EQUIPMENT, TRAILER MONITORING EQUIPMENT, GENERATOR, SOLAR PANELS, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ANY AGREEMENTS NECESSARY TO RECEIVE GRANT FUNDING (PROJECT SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS GRANT# 2022-PS-PSD-459).

WHEREAS, Council has deemed it necessary to authorize the Administrator to apply for and accept grants from state and federal resources for the acquisition of various equipment and services for the Police Department
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to apply for and accept grants from state and federal resources for the acquisition of various equipment and/or services for the Groveport Police Department.
Section 2: That the Administrator is further authorized to execute any agreements necessary to receive said grant funding.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force at the earliest period allowed by law.
