Title
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FRANKLIN COUNTY ENGINEER'S OFFICE AND FURTHER EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE ALUM CREEK DRIVE AT ROHR ROAD PROJECT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Groveport has identified the need for the above described project; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Groveport wishes to partner with the Franklin County Engineer's Office in the funding of said project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Franklin County Engineer to provide funding for the stated project.

Section 2: That the City shall cooperate with the Franklin County Engineer's Office in the above described project as follows:

While the Franklin County Engineer's Office shall submit an application to the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) to assist in funding this project, the City agrees to contribute an amount not to exceed $404,000 or ten percent of the above-referred project, whichever is less.


Section 3: That the Administrator is hereby authorized on behalf of the City to enter into any agreements with the Franklin County Engineer's Office necessary to complete the above described project.

Section 4: That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof, this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner to assure that the County and City meet all deadlines for submissions to OPWC; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
