A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE OFFICIAL INTENT AND REASONABLE EXPECTATION THAT THE CITY OF GROVEPORT WILL FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TREASURER ON HOW CARES ACT FEDERAL AID FUNDS MAY BE SPENT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the City understands to be eligible to receive a payment under Ohio Senate Bill No. 310, division (C) of this section, the legislative authority of a municipal corporation must adopt a resolution or ordinance affirming that the funds so received may be expended only to cover costs of the political subdivision consistent with the requirements of section 5001 of the "Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act," as described in 42 U.S.C. 601(d), and any applicable regulations. Subject to Ohio Senate Bill No. 310, division (F) of this section, until the legislative authority adopts the resolution or ordinance, the subdivision's share of the money from the county coronavirus relief distribution fund shall remain in that fund; and,
WHEREAS, the City understands that upon receiving payment from a county coronavirus relief distribution fund, upon request, it shall provide any information related to those payments or their expenditure to the Director of Budget and Management for the State of Ohio; and,
WHEREAS, the legislative authority shall certify a copy of this Resolution to the county auditor and the Director of Budget and Management for the State of Ohio.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Clerk of the City of Groveport is hereby directed to file a copy of this Resolution with the Franklin County Auditor and the Director of Budget and Management for the State of Ohio.
