AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO PURCHASE TWO (2) TORO REELMASTER TRACTORS AND ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT FOR THE GOLF COURSE UNDER THE SOURCEWELL COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PLAN, THEREBY WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING PURSUANT TO GROVEPORT CITY CHARTER SECTION 9.02(B)

WHEREAS, the City is permitted to purchase items under the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchase Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter permits the waiving of competitive bidding where the statutory or common law of Ohio does not require competitive bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to purchase two (2) Toro Reelmaster Tractors and ancillary equipment through the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchase Plan, thereby waiving competitive bidding pursuant to Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter.
Section 2: That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
