AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT IN THE COMMUNITY AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT, ESTABLISHING THE PAY GRADE THEREFORE, AND ABOLISHING THE POSITION OF PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR/EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT IN THE ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary to add the position of Executive Assistant in the Community Affairs Department and establishing the pay grade, and;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to abolish the position of Public Relations Coordinator/Executive Assistant in the Administration Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That there is hereby created the position of Executive Assistant in the Community Affairs Department, and the pay grade for said position shall be Grade 10, effective 07-09-2021.
Section 2: That the current Public Relations Coordinator/Executive Assistant position is hereby abolished from the Administration Department.
Section 3: That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely fashion so that the Community Affairs Department can have its staff and/or organizational structure in place as soon as possible; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
