AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH ACCURATE MECHANICAL, INC FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF HEATING AND COOLING EQUIPMENT AT THE RECREATION CENTER UNDER THE OHIO STATE TERM SCHEDULE COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PLAN, THEREBY WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING PURSUANT TO GROVEPORT CITY CHARTER SECTION 9.02(B)

WHEREAS, the City is permitted to purchase goods and services under the Ohio State Term Schedule Cooperative Purchase Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of purchasing and installing HVAC equipment at the Groveport Recreation Center from Accurate Mechanical, Inc, a participating vendor of the Ohio State Term Schedule Cooperative Purchase Plan; and,
WHEREAS, Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter permits the waiving of competitive bidding where the statutory or common law of Ohio does not require competitive bidding.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is authorized to enter into contract with Accurate Mechanical, Inc under the Ohio State Term Schedule Cooperative Purchasing Plan, thereby waiving competitive bidding pursuant to Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall take force and be in full effect at the earliest time provided by law.
