Title

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO SOLICIT BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR THE ELMONT FORCE MAIN PHASE 3, PART 2 REPLACEMENT PROJECT, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, it is necessary to solicit bids and enter into a contract for the Elmont Force Main Phase 3, Part 2 Replacement Project.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1:  That the Administrator is hereby authorized to solicit bids for the Elmont Force Main Phase 3, Part 2 Replacement Project and further authorized to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for said project.

 

Section 2:  That this ordinance shall be deemed as an emergency measure immediately necessary for to preserve the health, safety, and general welfare of the community as said legislation must be enacted in a timely manner to address long ongoing operation and/or maintenance issues with the Elmont Force Main; WHEREFORE, this legislation shall take effect immediately upon its passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
