AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ADD THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL IN THE DEPARTMENT OF GOLF AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it has been determined that an increase in authorized staffing level for the Department of Golf is appropriate; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.01 (A)(4) of the Groveport City Charter, Council can establish or authorize the number of employees in the various offices, departments, divisions, bureaus, boards, and commissions of the Municipality; and,
WHEREAS, due to the addition of the stated position, it will be necessary to increase the authorized strength for the Department of Golf by adding the position of Assistant Golf Professional.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That there is hereby added the position of Assistant Golf Professional in the Department of Golf.
Section 2: That the authorized strength of staff for the Department of Golf shall be increased to include the position of Assistant Golf Professional.
Section 3: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner in order for the Assistant Golf Professional position to be established as soon as possible, which will enable the Links at Groveport to have adequate staffing levels to effectively and efficiently manage the course. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
