AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING AND AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNS ON THE FIRE HYDRANT SIDE OF DORCHESTER STREET IN ELMONT PLACE, SECTION 3, IN THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, in the interest of public safety, it is necessary to prohibit parking on the fire hydrant side of streets; and
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
 
Section 1:   That parking is prohibited on the hydrant side of streets in the following Subdivisions and/or streets, in the City of Groveport
                        
                        Founders Bend, Section 1
                        Elmont Place, Section 1 Parts A and B
                        The Reserve at Walnut Woods
                        Bixford Greens, Sections 1 and 2
                        Newport Village, Section 2
                        Bixby Ridge Subdivision, Phases 1 and 2
                        Cron Drive
                        Dorchester Street, Elmont Place, Section 3
 
Section 2:  That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner so that emergency vehicles can have unobstructed access to the fire hydrants and/or residences on the streets and/or in the subdivisions listed in Section 1; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
