AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ACCEPT A GRANT OF A SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT FROM GROVEPORT MADISON SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to obtain a sanitary sewer easement from Groveport Madison School District for the purpose of constructing, installing, operating, inspecting, repairing, renewing and maintaining a public sanitary sewer and related appurtenances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to accept a sanitary sewer easement from Groveport Madison School District for the purpose of constructing, installing, operating, inspecting, repairing, renewing and maintaining a public sanitary sewer and related appurtenances.
Section 2: That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the public, as this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner to assure the City can conduct any necessary maintenance and/or repair activities with respect to public utilities located in said easement; WHEREFORE, this legislation shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
