AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2002-010, PASSED MARCH 11, 2002, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the Madison Township Board of Trustees have passed a resolution to rescind the collection of fees for Building Development & Subdivision Plan Review by the Groveport Building and Zoning Department, and accordingly, staff is requesting the repealing of Ordinance No. 2002-010 (passed March 11, 2002) to cease the collection of said fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 2002-010 (passed March 11, 2002), authorizing the Building and Zoning Department to collect Building Development & Subdivision Plan Review fees for Madison Township, is hereby repealed.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community as this Ordinance must be enacted in a timely fashion as the Madison Township Resolution is effectiveJuly 1, 2026; Wherefore, this Ordinance shall take effect after its passage by Council and upon signature of the Mayor.
