AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POSITION OF PARKS AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR IN THE PARKS AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be in the best interest of the City to abolish the position of Parks and Facilities Management Director in the Parks and Facilities Management Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the position of Parks and Facilities Management Director in the Parks and Facilities Management Department is hereby abolished..
Section 2: That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that the abolishment of said position will bring immediately the Parks and Facilities Management Department under the supervision and control of the Public Service Director thereby streamlining essential City operations; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
