AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FOR THE PROVISION OF VARIOUS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE GROVEPORT RICKENBACKER EMPLOYEE ACCESS TRANSIT (GREAT) PROGRAM, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Administrator to solicit proposals for the provision of various public transportation services in conjunction with the Groveport Rickenbacker Employee Access Transit (GREAT) Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to solicit proposals for the provision of various public transportation services in conjunction with the GREAT program and further authorized to enter into a contract with the firm or company that submits the most beneficial proposal to the City.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community as the GREAT program must be in place in a timely fashion to assure that public transportation is available for peak seasonal employment at the City's Industrial Parks. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
