Title

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE MID-OHIO REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION FOR ATTRIBUTABLE TRANSPORTATION FUNDING, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ANY AGREEMENTS NECESSARY TO RECEIVE SAID GRANT FUNDING, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Groveport is submitting a request to the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) for Attributable Transportation Funding for fiscal years 2018-2023 to assist the City in purchasing ADA accessible buses for the GREAT program.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to submit an application to Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, acting as the designated recipient of Attributable Transportation Funding 2018-2023, execute a contract with MORPC if selected for funding, and execute any other documents necessary to receive said funds.

 

Section 2: That for reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part thereof, this Ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community as this legislation must be enacted in a timely fashion so that the City can meet the deadline to apply for said grant, which will greatly assist the City of Groveport in purchasing replacement buses that are ADA accessible for the City's GREAT program. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
