AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE AND/OR LEASE OF GOLF CARTS AND TO FURTHER ENTER INTO ANY AGREEMENT NECESSARY TO FACILITATE SAID PURCHASE AND/OR LEASE AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, a new fleet of golf carts is needed to effectively run the golf operation and serve patrons at Links at Groveport Golf Course.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to solicit bids for the purchase and/or lease of golf carts and to further enter into any agreement necessary to facilitate said purchase and/or lease.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community as it is imperative that the current golf cart fleet at the Links at Groveport be replaced to avoid ongoing maintenance costs with respect to the existing fleet; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
