Title

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO A LAND LEASE AGREEMENT WITH NEW PAR, DBA VERIZON WIRELESS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF A UTILITY TOWER AND RELATED APPURTENANCES AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, the City is desirous of entering into a Land Lease Agreement for the purpose stated in the title of this Ordinance.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1:  That the Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into a Land Lease Agreement with New Par, a Delaware Corporation, d/b/a Verizon Wireless for the construction and installation of a utility tower and related appurtenances.

 

Section 2That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community as it is essential that the stated agreement be executed in a timely fashion as the construction of said utility tower will enhance cellular communication within the City of Groveport and its surrounding areas. WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
