AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING AND AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CANAL STREET IN THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, in the interest of public safety, it is necessary to prohibit parking on the north side of Canal Street between Walnut Street and College Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That parking is prohibited on the north side of Canal Street between Walnut Street and College Street, in the City of Groveport.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner so that emergency vehicles can have unobstructed access to the fire hydrants and/or residences on Canal Street; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
