AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CHARITY NEWSIES SALE

WHEREAS, the Charity Newsies are requesting permission from the Council to solicit in the City for their annual Charity Newsies sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That pursuant to Groveport Code Section 371.06 and other sections, the Charity Newsies are hereby granted permission to solicit contributions along the highways within the corporation limits on the second Saturday in December, each year, for charitable purposes.
Section 2: That the Charity Newsies are required to notify the Administrator and/or the Chief of Police, forty-eight hours prior to the date of their collection.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
