Title

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) POLICE CRUISERS WITH ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT AND/OR WAIVE COMPETITIVE BIDDING PURSUANT TO GROVEPORT CITY CHARTER SECTION 9.02(B)

Body

WHEREAS, the City is desirous of purchasing two (2) police cruisers with ancillary equipment for the Police Department; and,

 

WHEREAS, in order to obtain the most economically advantageous price, it is necessary to authorize the Administrator to purchase this vehicle and its related ancillary equipment through either the competitive bid process and/or waive competitive bidding pursuant to Groveport City Charter Section 9.02 (B) and purchase through the State of Ohio Cooperative Purchase Program.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1: That the City Administrator is hereby authorized to either solicit bids as to the two (2) police cruisers with ancillary equipment and/or waive competitive bidding pursuant to Groveport City Charter Section 9.02(B) for the purchase of said two (2) police cruisers with ancillary equipment and is further authorized to enter into a contract for the acquisition thereof.

 

Section 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
