AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A SCHOOL ZONE WITHIN THE CITY OF GROVEPORT AT GROVEPORT MADISON HIGH SCHOOL ON STATE ROUTE 317

WHEREAS, Council has deemed it necessary and appropriate to designate a school zone on State Route 317 at Groveport Madison High School located at 4475 South Hamilton Road, Groveport, Ohio.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 4511.21 (B)(1)(c)(iii) and Section 333.03(b)(1)C2 of the Groveport Codified Ordinances, a school zone is hereby designated on that portion of State Route 317 that is encompassed by projecting the school property lines to State Route 317, which fronts Groveport Madison High School.
Section 2: That, pursuant to the above-cited code sections, the stated school zone shall consist of the distance encompassed by projecting the school property lines intersecting State Route 317 and extending a distance of 300 feet on each approach direction.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
