AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ACCEPT ROADWORK DEVELOPMENT (629) ACCOUNT GRANT FUNDING FROM THE OHIO DEVELOPMENT SERVICES AGENCY, TO ACCOUNT FOR THE RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF SAID FUNDING, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY
Body
WHEREAS, Startech.com USA LLP desires to locate its proposed distribution facility in the City of Groveport in a new development undertaken by the Pizzuti Corporation; and,

WHEREAS, the Ohio Development Services Agency has committed funds in the amount of $200,000 to the City of Groveport for roadway infrastructure improvements related to the Startech.com USA LLP development project which represents "Phase I" of the South Hamilton Road / Higgins Boulevard / Directors Boulevard Improvement Project; and,

WHEREAS, said funding is necessary in to complete the roadway infrastructure improvements related to the Startech.com USA LLP development project; and,

WHEREAS, grant funding is deemed appropriated for such purpose by the City as provided by law and shall be recorded as such by the Finance Director of the City, and is deemed in the process of collection.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

Section 1: That the City Administrator is hereby authorized to accept Roadwork Development (629) Account Grant funding from the Ohio Development Services Agency and enter into any agreements necessary to receive and/or administer said Grant funding.

Section 2: That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate the necessary funds within the Street Fund, account 201.14.52462 in the amount of $200,000 allowing for receipt and expenditure of such funds.

Section 3: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that the City will be able to facilitate essential roadway improvements, that is, the reconstructio...
