Title
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FRANKLIN COUNTY ENGINEER'S OFFICE AND MADISON TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES AND TO FURTHER EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE TOY ROAD, SWISHER ROAD, SALTZGABER ROAD, GROVEPORT ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the City of Groveport has identified the need for the above described project; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Groveport wishes to partner with the Franklin County Engineer's Office and Madison Township in the funding of said project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

Section 1: That the Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Franklin County Engineer and the Madison Township Trustees to provide funding for the stated project.

Section 2: That the City shall cooperate with the Franklin County Engineer's Office and Madison Township in the above described project as follows:

An application shall be submitted to the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) to assist in funding this project, the City agrees to contribute an amount not to exceed $97,795.40.


Section 3: That the Administrator is hereby authorized on behalf of the City to enter into any agreements with the Franklin County Engineer's Office and the Madison Township Trustees necessary to complete the above described project.

Section 4: That the enforcement of this Ordinance is contingent upon approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council of the Development Plan and Final Plat for 5770 Saltzgaber Road.

Section 5: That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof, this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner to assure that the County, T...
