Title

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORD. 18-053 ALLOWING THE CURRENT POSITION OF ASSISTANT GOLF SUPERINTENDENT IN THE  DEPARTMENT OF GOLF TO BE FILLED AS THE STATED POSITION OR AS A GOLF MAINTENANCE WORKER

Body

WHEREAS, it has been determined that an increase in authorized staffing level for the Department of Golf is appropriate; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.01 (A)(4) of the Groveport City Charter, Council can establish or authorize the number of employees in the various offices, departments, divisions, bureaus, boards, and commissions of the Municipality; and,

 

WHEREAS, due to the current lack in availability of qualified assistant golf superintendents at this time, the Director of Golf wishes to use the available position to be filled as a Golf Maintenance Worker based on current needs.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1 That the current position of Assistant Golf Superintendent in the Department of Golf may be filled as a Golf Maintenance Worker due to current needs at the course.

 

Section 2:  That the authorized strength of staff for the Department of Golf shall be increased to include the position of Golf Maintenance Worker .

 

Section 3:  That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
