AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT - STREET/STORM, ACCEPTING THE POSITION DESCRIPTION AND ESTABLISHING THE PAY GRADE, AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it is necessary to create the position of Maintenance Superintendent - Street/Storm in the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to accept the position description and establish the position pay grade therefore.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That there is hereby created the position of Maintenance Superintendent - Street/Storm, the position description attached hereto is accepted, and the pay grade for said position shall be Grade 14.
Section 2: That this Ordinance be deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation must be enacted in a timely manner in order for the Maintenance Superintendent - Street/Storm to be in place as soon as possible giving the impending retirement of the Public Works Superintendent; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
