AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CASH FUND BALANCES
Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the preservation of the Public Health and Safety that the City of Groveport authorize the various transfer of funds to balance the budget for the calendar year ended December 31, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code Sections 5705.14 and 5705.16 requires the affirmative vote of two-thirds of its Council members prior to any such transfer.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1. That the cash transfers as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, which is made a part hereof, are hereby approved and thereby authorized to be posted and reflected in the City’s accounting ledgers by the Finance Director for the year ended December 31, 2020.
Section 2. That the Finance Director of the City is hereby authorized to transfer funds from and/or to the aforementioned accounts as indicated on Exhibit “A”.
Section 3. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto which are made a part hereof, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
